Ok, so here is the guide to costs of backpacking and travelling in Thailand. The last I was in Thailand was in 2005 and I will be updating this guide after my next trip. You get roughly 70 Baht to a pound and I always remembered 500 Baht being 7 quid while 1000 Baht being 14 quid. Ok so here is the break down of costs of travelling in the Land Of Smiles.

Costs Of Stuff in Markets Thailand
Thailand is probably one of the best places in the world for picking up a bargain at a market. It is a little harder for me to say the exact price of stuff sold at markets and road side stools because bartering makes up a large part of what you will pay. To be a good barterer I recommend just always agreeing that the thing you are interested in is nice and you like it, but everytime the seller says a price just go, ohhhhh, thats too much. They will always start off 10 times higher, so never pay the first price the seller says, otherwise you will be fleeced.
