Hua Hin

Connected by direct rail line to Bangkok Hua Hin is a perfect getaway for many Thai's living in the city. Over the years Hua Hin has moulded itself into a classy sea side resort and is very popular with many upper class Thai's, many of whom have property in the area. Hua Hin Thailand is historically known as a small fishing village and today is still an active fishing port, even though the classy hotels tower over the small fishing vessels. Right along the sea front there are many great restaurants built on stilts over the sea edge. Hua Hin Thailand is a good spot for a holiday with it's under developed beaches, classy hotels while still retaining the charm of a small fishing village that it once use to be.

There are many things to do in Hua Hin. Possibly a favorite is to travel to Kao Takeb which is one of the highest mountains in the area, which has stunning views of the area and is also a great spot to see the sun set. Hua Hin has one beach which stretches right along the front. Even though Hua Hin is well known for it's abundance of 5 start hotels such as the Marriott, there are a number of budget guest house options for the travller. These can be easily found and booking in advance is not totally necessary.

There is a great night club that can be found at the bottom of the Marriott night club. It is also worth while to hire a bike for a day or so and ride to the top of Kao Takeb, where you can visit the Wat and see the incredible view of the area. Be careful, there is an abundance of wild monkeys at the top of the mountain.
