Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is most famous for it\'s notorious full moon parties which happen once a month. Over the years this party has become more and more popular and it is now a monthly occurance to have 10\'s of thousands of people arriving on Koh Phangan ready for a rave. During this time accommodation gets very tight so make sure you book in advance. Hat Rin is the location of the actual full moon party but recent years have seen a number of other off spins such as the half moon party which are located on other beaches around the island.

Koh Phangan is certainly a beutiful island, and is still farily undeveloped when compared to neighbouring Koh Samui. Koh Phagan was where the film The Beach was set even though it was filmed in Phucket. Koh Phangan will be the top destination for many travlers because of it\'s beauty and atmostsphere. All the beaches are lined with bars, which get absolutely rammed when there is a full moon party. Each bar will blast out a different genre of dance music, and many people will certainly party all night long til sun rise.

Koh Phangan is in the middle of Koh Samui and Koh Tao and is easily reachable by boat from both.
